Chamberlain Segrest was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. She then attended Tulane University and graduated with a double major in Ecological Evolutionary Biology and Environmental Studies. Following graduation she worked as a researcher in the mountains of Wyoming, an English Teacher in South Korea (she now loves Kimchi!), and a Science Teacher in Maine and New Orleans. In 2007 she moved to Boston, MA and worked for five years as the Director of Education at “e” inc., a nonprofit that works to bring science literacy and community action to schools and community centers in Boston. She is now thrilled to be the Director of Green Programming at Boston Green Academy where she helps the BGA community achieve their mission of environmental sustainability. When not working, Chamberlain loves playing ultimate frisbee, hiking, reading and skyping with her family in Alabama, Montana and Missouri.
Boston Green Academy welcomes diverse students of all abilities, educates and empowers them to succeed in college and career, and prepares them to lead in the sustainability of our community and world.
